Basically, we could have very well exploited that $1200 in a more effective way. To me, it's just like going to Japan to meet a maestro and simply have him repeat all that Mr Tan said just cause we can't follow properly. I wonder why we can't undo a mistake immediately when it has been pointed out. Is it because we need time to adapt to this new change, or is it because we aren't practicing resulting in insufficient skill to correct mistakes? Maybe it's because all Singaporeans do is care about themselves, to hell with all that others say, just chiong. Well, I have seen my Primary school band walk away with Silver twice. Once because 'the tuba empty saliva then cleaners buay song'. Another because the cymbal never clash properly. Miraculously, these tiny mistakes cost 25 marks and above each. I don't want to go away with silver ranting on about how Kelly Tang that day never dig ear, or how my braces just nice contract too tightly on that day. I want a chance to march off in glory, reflected every single painful moment I experienced for the Gold. Everybody says we are there, we can do it, just remember to stay together, to watch conductor etc etc etc. Funny thing is, that was what - I mean all - I had to do in Primary School to get the Gold, and I didn't do it. Not now, this year, with the chains of spirit and the foundation of endless practices, we will get the Gold. All we have to do is want to. If only everything was that simple.
